Ep 6 Transcript
[00:00] Andy W: What if it’s not your strategy but negative past experiences and trauma that’s holding your business back?
[00:07] Today we explore how to clear energetic blocks to unlock growth, clarity and confidence.
[00:13] Spiritual mentor and Peak performance coach KZ is here to show us how. That’s today on Woo Biz.
[00:32] Zach Shefsky, better known as kz, is a spiritual mentor and peak performance coach at the Peak Awakening, a company where she guides leaders, creatives and entrepreneurs through deep energetic healing and alignment to enter a new paradigm of soul led performance.
[00:47] She’s a former world class beach volleyball player and spent over a decade as a Landmark forum leader facilitating breakthrough transformation for thousands of people.
[00:57] Her work today bridges high performance coaching, somatic healing, trauma resolution and multidimensional energetics. Love that she has a Master’s HK of Performance psychology and a key tool in her work is a series of guided practices designed to help clients release subconscious blocks, regulate their nervous systems and reclaim soul aligned power.
[01:21] She offers these through private mentorship and courses inside the Peak Awakening.
[01:26] Today she’ll explain how negative past experiences and trauma affects business performance and lead us through an Awakening activation to reprogram your past for breakthrough business success.
[01:37] Hello kz.
[01:39] Kay Z: Hello Andy Walker.
[01:41] Andy W: How are you?
[01:43] Kay Z: Just great. It’s so great to be here with you and thank you so much for inviting me to really make a difference with the people that are listening. Hello everybody.
[01:52] Andy W: Oh, that’s so good to have you. I like when you say, you know, it was too weird, I was having a chat cause it’s essentially what that is.
[01:59] But it’s good weird.
[02:01] Good weird, not bad weird.
[02:03] All right, well you come from a very interesting background.
[02:07] Tell me, before you started this company, let’s give some context here. What kind of work were you doing and how did it lead to this company and the programs you’ve created?
[02:17] Kay Z: Oh my goodness,
[02:19] Andy, I’m going to try and give the the short version because you know, it’s been, it’s been a lifetime. It’s been a lifetime that’s really brought myself to this and I’m sure we’ll have a chance to talk a little bit more about this, but I really feel like my soul has guided me to this very moment.
[02:35] So to answer your question more directly,
[02:39] I was a world class beach volleyball player like you said. I got to compete all around the world and really had the opportunity to, to discover what it is to be a high performer at the highest level and also had to deal with anything that limited me, anything from my past,
[03:00] anything that where I was stopped as an Athlete. And to be honest, I don’t think I totally broke that through as an athlete. So I was continuing on that search afterwards and did a master’s in performance psychology because it really was the mental game that held me back the most.
[03:18] So then I was okay. I was, you know, looking at working on physical limitations, on mental limitations.
[03:24] Later on, I, I went on to work with one of the premier personal development companies in the world, Landmark. They’re known as training the best and having the best faculty body in the whole industry.
[03:35] And I was one of their leaders, leading transformational courses around the world with their flagship course, the Landmark Forum. And in that process,
[03:44] I really had an opportunity to develop myself as someone who could get out of my own way. Well, what does that mean?
[03:50] I had to work so deeply on myself so that any sort of limitations I had, any sort of baggage I had, any past constraints I had when they came up, I had to deal with them so that I didn’t get in the way of the transformation of the other participants in the coursework or in the courses that I was leading.
[04:12] It really had to be. I was a conduit to deliver the program so that they could get what they came for and really break through. And I didn’t get in the way of that.
[04:24] Andy W: So you come from a sports background, switching into kind of dealing with yourself in the performance of that,
[04:31] then moving on to becoming kind of a master performance coach at Landmark. Less sort of the Landmark formula. They lead all their sort of flagship program and programs. I, I, I know cause I did some of the courses.
[04:43] That’s how we’ve, for the listeners out there, that’s how Kay and I met.
[04:48] So then that segues into. You leap. So you leave, leave Landmark and you start this company. So it sounds like the perfect storm.
[04:58] Kay Z: Yeah, yeah. And it’s really interesting, Andy, because one thing I’ve really seen since diving into this is that while I developed my body,
[05:08] know I was in best physical shape of my life when I was an athlete. Right.
[05:12] Um, I developed my mind and the capacity to be in really tough situations, really tough conversations,
[05:20] and really be the conduit of transformation, of breakthroughs for people that I was working with as, you know, as a coach at Landmark. What was really missing, missing for me at a deep, deep level was spirit.
[05:34] So that was mind, body,
[05:36] but in a holistic sense,
[05:38] so that I was the most grounded.
[05:41] What was missing was a real grounding in my soul.
[05:45] So about.
[05:47] I’m going to go a bit deep here. Is that okay?
[05:49] Andy W: No, go for it like dig in.
[05:51] Kay Z: About, about a year ago, you know, I was in this very high performance environment and had been for most of my life. I started to experience and really see things that happened in my past that you could call traumatic.
[06:06] I couldn’t unsee them. And you know, I didn’t have a lot of drama about was still flashing, you know, flashing back or I was having these nightmares about it.
[06:17] And it led me to a point where I, at first, Andy, to be honest, I tried to put it to the side and fake it till you make it because that’s what we learn as high performers and as athletes is like you just gotta suck it up, you gotta tough it out like that sort of a thing.
[06:31] And I really tried but this thing I couldn’t do it with, you know, my past came back and I couldn’t run from it anymore. So I took a six month leave of absence from my high performance work.
[06:43] And in that time I had a really profound and what I call a peak awakening.
[06:52] I really dove into the realm of spirit. I was working with, with a psychic. I was working,
[07:00] I did a past life regression. I started do more work in, in, in the spiritual and esoteric arts.
[07:08] I spent a lot of time out in nature. I,
[07:11] I did what I call guided journaling.
[07:14] I connected to,
[07:16] to my own guides, my own angels, to,
[07:20] to my soul. I, I, I really, in that six weeks in the work that I did,
[07:25] I realigned with my soul and got so clear on what my purpose was and discovered this, what you said earlier, this soul led paradigm of performance.
[07:37] Andy W: So you know, this is not something traditionally woo biz obviously is right on the nose of this. But really traditional performance training, coaching, that kind of thing does not incorporate the spiritual or any of this energetic stuff or at least not in the way that we’re talking about it here.
[07:54] So you saw, must have seen a gap there between your, the, the work you were doing and then your own performance and then realizing that when you were going to train other people that you needed to put that in.
[08:04] Is that the case? Is that, is that the thinking behind it?
[08:07] Kay Z: Yeah. And even more than that Andy, when I looked back at the thesis that I did for my master’s HK and per performance psychology,
[08:15] I saw that the top world class athletes that I interviewed,
[08:20] they actually were practicing some sort of spiritual,
[08:26] I don’t know, like a ritual or that part of their, of their own development of their own training was really important and key.
[08:35] So not only did I see it missing in general, I saw it present in the Top performers in the world.
[08:44] And so it was an opportunity for most of us who maybe are in the,
[08:49] you know, some of us get up to top 20, top 30 in our particular discipline.
[08:54] But how you break through to the next level,
[08:56] I saw this,
[08:58] this paradigm of,
[09:01] of spirit, this world of, of being able to access your own intuition,
[09:06] your own psychic abilities as something missing,
[09:11] as well as any sort of clearing of energetic baggage.
[09:16] Most of us don’t do, nor do we even know to do or see that it’s something that we need to do.
[09:21] So. Yeah. Yes.
[09:23] And at the same time,
[09:25] the evidence showed that for those who did practice the spiritual side and dive into this,
[09:32] it broke everything open for them.
[09:35] Yeah, this is, and that was my own personal experience.
[09:38] Andy W: No, I totally get it. And it’s completely aligned with what I’ve started to see in the, in this exploration with the woo, you know, and I call it the Woo. But it’s sort of catch all right for the spiritual, the energetic, that kind of thing.
[09:51] But what, what we’ve been seeing is that these high performers out there in business and entrepreneurs, creators and innovators, all those types of folks that are out to achieve incredible things,
[10:02] a lot of the super successful ones are using these woo tactics like it’s something that’s relatively new. I think 10 years ago if you had brought that to somebody’s attention, they would have been like,
[10:15] no, not spirit, spirit guys, no, that doesn’t fit with my portfolio.
[10:21] But,
[10:22] but it has been a secret and a well guarded secret, I think. Don’t you think?
[10:26] Kay Z: I, I think so too. And I think part of it had to do with the very,
[10:32] the irony almost of your, of the name of your, your company, the name of this podcast,
[10:38] you know, the woo that implies taboo and I has been a negative.
[10:44] Andy W: Word that’s for sure, for long. We’re trying to reclaim it here with this, bring it in in a way that exactly is power.
[10:50] Kay Z: Yeah. So there has been a taboo, there’s been a wooness.
[10:54] I just made up a word. I think there’s witness to speaking about this untapped resource that I do believe the top performing, the most centered, the most really powerful human beings are accessing this and some of them who are directly in the, you know, in, in the religious or the spiritual and religion and spirit are very different for me.
[11:25] You know,
[11:26] but certain high leaders in religions that are really pure, certain very spiritual people,
[11:34] you can tell that that’s a good, a good part of their,
[11:38] their ability to stay calm or centered or grounded, mindful.
[11:43] And I Think.
[11:44] Andy W: Well, I think religion does bring mindfulness. It does bring a lot of these woo skills.
[11:49] And we’re not talking about religion here. Right. We’re talking about the generic approach to kind of that spirit centered behavior and the practices that go with it.
[11:59] Kay Z: Yeah. And. And if people are like, oh, I’m in the spiritual domain and I’m in religion and that’s my profession, then they talk about this and the rest of the world didn’t.
[12:10] And now they’re starting to.
[12:12] And let me tell you, Andy, the more I share with people about what I do and I bring in saying that, you know, I’m highly intuitive, I see things, I can hear things, I can tap into a universal consciousness,
[12:25] and, you know, I’m sharing more about how I use those gifts and how I teach others to use these gifts to empower their own success and empower their own living in the most fulfilled way.
[12:39] It seems at this day and age people are searching for that.
[12:44] I expect them to kind of be like, well, that’s kind of weird.
[12:48] But my experience has been that they’re like, wow, that’s really neat.
[12:53] I want that.
[12:55] And that’s, I think, a shift in our society. And it’s a very powerful shift because the more we can get grounded and centered and connected to the universal consciousness,
[13:06] to spirit, to our souls,
[13:09] the more we can be guided on our soul journey versus trying to work out and make it through life and let the chips fall where they may. But man, we worked hard and we got her done.
[13:24] But at the end of the day, maybe we don’t feel as fulfilled or like, almost like there’s something missing. Yeah, because we’re out of alignment.
[13:33] The moment you get in alignment, things seem to flow. And, and you know about that because this is an expression. This, this podcast is that expression for you. I know that about you.
[13:45] Andy W: Yes, absolutely. Absolutely.
[13:47] So I know the answer to this question, but I’m interested in your take on it, and maybe you can just put this into a little nutshell for our listeners.
[13:55] So what is the advantage of bringing a soul aligned, or let’s call it the woo approach to performance?
[14:03] Kay Z: Well,
[14:04] the first thing is that when you take new actions, you get new results.
[14:10] And anywhere you’re bumping up against something in your life,
[14:15] it probably is the time to take some sort of new action.
[14:19] But the new action when you’re,
[14:21] you’re being led by your soul is very much of a, of a guided action. First of all, it feels right, it feels true.
[14:30] And I don’t know if you’ve ever had this experience, Andy, where it seems like people start coming across your path. It seems like coincidences are happening,
[14:41] certain.
[14:41] Andy W: Synchronicities, and you can say this has been nothing. But what’s been happening to me lately, like so many synchronicities, it’s blowing my mind.
[14:54] Kay Z: That, to me is an indication that you’re acting in coordinated action with your soul.
[15:03] Andy W: And what does that give me as a, as a business person developing something like that? Why is that critical?
[15:08] Kay Z: Well, first of all, it’s not so stinking hard. And I’ve been there, I’ve done that where you push through,
[15:15] you grind it out. The incidence of burnout right now is huge.
[15:20] I’ve lived through burnout.
[15:22] Andy W: Well, I bet you as a volleyball player you probably went through that, did you not?
[15:26] Kay Z: Oh yeah, I did. I pushed myself so hard and I was training so hard that I burnt out. I was.
[15:35] It just everything seemed hard, but I kept pushing because that’s all that I knew.
[15:40] Andy W: Well, that’s the old school approach, right? It’s like you grind, grind, grind and you’ll win. And I don’t think that’s true anymore or it never has been true.
[15:47] Kay Z: Well,
[15:47] you might win on the scorecard,
[15:51] but you’re not winning in your experience of life.
[15:54] And I definitely wasn’t for a long while. And I wasn’t honest with myself.
[15:58] I wasn’t real because I thought that’s what it was supposed to feel like.
[16:03] And then you get the win and you’re like, woo. For a second you’re like, yeah, that’s so great.
[16:09] And the next moment feels like there’s still something empty or missing. And what do you do? You fill that with the next thing you’re going after. And then the next thing you’re going after, it’s.
[16:21] It’s almost a rug.
[16:23] Andy W: Yeah, it’s a hamster wheel for sure. For sure.
[16:25] Kay Z: Yeah, yeah.
[16:25] Andy W: You’re chasing the high and, and then you’re exhausted in between. In the lows and worse than exhausted in some cases. I’ve seen business performers really bottom out. I mean, you talk about bottoming out as a, as a world class athlete.
[16:41] I mean it, that’s one thing is you take yourself as, hey, metal contention or maybe the,
[16:46] your year,
[16:47] but from a business context, you bottom out and your company may go under or it may lose money or it may, you know what I mean? Like there’s a huge consequence to that.
[16:57] Kay Z: Yeah, totally. And I did that in business too. It’s like I didn’t learn my lesson the first time around. Why?
[17:03] Because you only know what you know. You only know what you know. You can’t see what you can’t see.
[17:09] So you keep doing some version of the same thing you’ve always done.
[17:13] And I knew how to produce results by pushing hard and pushing through and having mental toughness and all that, which is, is very valuable,
[17:22] but not from the same origin point. See, if I’m continuing to be in a, what I call an ego led paradigm of performance where my ego is running the show, at the end of the day, I’m going to get very similar results.
[17:37] But when I alter where I’m coming from in terms of my actions and I move into a soul led paradigm of performance,
[17:46] there’s whole new actions available to me.
[17:49] Maybe you and I are actually the lid on our own experience of life and our own performance.
[17:57] Because to me they’re handing love.
[18:00] Yeah, they’re handing glove, you know, and you want the, you want peak performance.
[18:05] You need a peak awakening. You need something that moves you into a new paradigm of acting, living, being in life where you are guided, where your soul is leading the way.
[18:20] And then, Andy, it’s like you don’t have to worry anymore.
[18:24] That worry isn’t there. Why?
[18:27] Because your hands being held.
[18:29] There’s something so much greater than us. And I think in our, in our core, we all know that there’s angels, there’s guides, there’s a whole team on the other side, I call them our team, right.
[18:42] That are there to guide us into this new realm.
[18:47] If we’re only listening,
[18:49] only our ego gets in the way and we have blockages that prevent us from seeing. But I do believe at one point in our life, we all knew this when we were kids.
[19:01] Look at kids,
[19:02] they’re just out in life, they’re enjoying it. They’re able to learn so much so fast and accomplish so much because they’re available to this. And then we shut it down.
[19:13] Andy W: So what, you’re awake when you’re a kid and somehow you go to sleep when you become an adult, you close those doors.
[19:20] Right.
[19:21] And so I like the, it’s a nice segue by the way, into, you know, the idea of awakening. Now we’ll talk about awakening activations in a sec. And you’re going to take me and us as all the listeners included an awakening activation.
[19:36] But just before we get there, because we’re going to go there in a couple minutes and I’m really excited about this.
[19:41] Let’s talk a little bit about the science. Maybe you can talk about the exercise. What we’re going to do and then kind of set us up for like the skeptics out there.
[19:49] Right? There’s a lot of skeptics and reasonably so. I’m, I’m a bit of a skeptic too.
[19:53] Not necessarily about you and your technology, but I always ask those questions as a journalist, right. You’re like,
[19:58] how does this work? So let’s, if you can ground us in a little bit of science for those that are maybe a little on the fence about the woo,
[20:05] so we can feel good about heading into that regardless of how we feel about the woo or not the woo. So what’s the science? What are you about to do?
[20:13] And then how does it work from a science perspective?
[20:15] Kay Z: Yeah, no, that’s, that’s great. And it’s, it’s healthy to be skeptical from my view. I appreciate skeptics. I think that if you look into the science behind anything and, and deal with your skepticism, it just,
[20:28] I don’t know, makes whatever we’re doing more powerful. Okay, so this is really, really great question. So like you said, we’re going to jump into a technique in my methodology really shortly, what I call awakening activations,
[20:39] which are essentially guided imageries.
[20:42] But in these guided imageries,
[20:44] it’s going to go deeper. We’re going to align your mind,
[20:46] your nervous system and your energetic fields to your soul’s blueprint.
[20:52] And there’s great healing that comes out of that great power and untethering from the past.
[20:59] Now you said, what’s the science behind it?
[21:01] Science actually increasingly supports the effectiveness of these kind of techniques from a neuroscience perspective. We’ll start there.
[21:10] Guided visualization and emotionally charged intention setting activate neuroplasticity. Well, what’s that? It’s basically the brain’s ability to recognize and reorganize neural pathway which enables the release of old patterns and the creation of new, empowering life.
[21:28] Andy W: So neuroplasticity is something relatively new that we’ve, we’ve sort of discovered in the last couple of decades in neuroscience. Right. It’s the brain’s ability to reconfigure itself with the right stimulus.
[21:38] I think that’s, I think that’s the, the kind of the raw definition.
[21:41] Kay Z: No,
[21:41] it’s shown that you can rewire your brain.
[21:45] Even stroke patients,
[21:47] they’ve actually shown after a stroke through specific,
[21:51] you know, therapies that you can take areas that were in your brain, certain areas go dead, let’s say, and they were responsible for certain functioning in your body.
[22:03] You can actually train for lack of A better word, other aspects of your brain to take over the.
[22:11] The ability that was lost when you had your stroke, and that’s neuroplasticity. There’s a new wiring in the brain.
[22:18] And when you do this from the perspective of any sort of old patterns, old beliefs,
[22:23] any sort of past experiences,
[22:26] you can literally rewrite history.
[22:29] So it’s pretty cool.
[22:30] Andy W: That is.
[22:31] Kay Z: And there’s one more. It is really neat.
[22:33] And one other piece, and this is really where I’m. I’m very expert in, is from the perspective of performance psychology.
[22:40] So guided imagery is known to activate the same neural pathways and muscle sequences as real life performance.
[22:48] So,
[22:49] you know, when Olympians or even NASA astronauts or race car drivers, they’ll. They’ll simulate whatever might happen in their performance,
[22:58] whether that be on the.
[23:00] On the race course or up in space or in a athletic competition.
[23:05] They’ll use guided imageries to play the situation over and over and over again. And it’s shown that the same muscles fire in the same order in the same pattern,
[23:15] whether they’re doing it in their mind or they’re doing it in real,
[23:18] like in real life, real time.
[23:20] Andy W: Very cool.
[23:20] Kay Z: Yeah, that’s just some of the science. You know, we could keep going, but that should.
[23:24] Andy W: Well, I bet you we could do an entire episode on this. No, the science of how your brain works, you know, pertains with visualizations, things like that.
[23:33] Kay Z: So.
[23:33] Andy W: Okay, so we’re going to do a visualization, right? That’s. That’s the plan here. So you called it a. An awakening.
[23:39] Kay Z: An awakening activation.
[23:41] Andy W: An awakening activation. Okay, great. Are you ready to go? Anything else to add before we jump in?
[23:46] Kay Z: Yeah, and I call it an awakening activation. I call it an activation because it’s not just the guided imagery, Andy. It’s.
[23:54] It’s not the kind of thing that you normally hear about in a podcast or you skim over in a book. This is really. I want you and the listeners to know this is really next level because we are going to align the mind, the nervous system, the energetic field to your soul purpose,
[24:11] your soul’s blueprint.
[24:13] This is really, really powerful stuff. And yeah, you’re gonna. You personally and the listeners are gonna be. Have a chance to. To participate in a awakening activation right now.
[24:26] Andy W: Let’s do it. That’s exciting.
[24:28] Kay Z: Okay, cool,
[24:29] great. So, Indy, I don’t know if you have a pen and piece of paper in front of you, but your listeners definitely should have a pen, a piece of paper.
[24:37] You got it? Okay, good.
[24:39] And I’m going to start off, just so you have a sense of how we’re starting before I tell you to close your eyes, is I’m going to start off by getting you in a really relaxed meditative state,
[24:49] and then I’m going to guide you through with the support of your higher self some, you know,
[24:57] time in the past where you didn’t get the result you wanted.
[25:03] See, Andy, you and the listeners,
[25:06] I think you might notice that you pattern certain behavior. What do I mean by that?
[25:12] The same situation seems to repeat over and over again.
[25:15] Have you ever noticed that?
[25:17] Andy W: A lot.
[25:18] Kay Z: A lot. Okay.
[25:20] And. And I know your, your listeners are people that are really accomplished, successful, and often in business or in other areas of their life.
[25:29] So what I want you and all the listeners to focus on is some sort of situation where you don’t feel confidence or where you feel stuck or you want to get to the next level, but there seems to be some sort of glass ceiling or something you can’t break through,
[25:47] and it might be somewhere where you know you failed before and you have some trepidation.
[25:52] So that’s the first thing before we get into this meditative state is I want you to select a specific area in your, you know, where you want success. And maybe you’re not getting the success you want.
[26:04] Are you repeating an old pattern or you just feel stuck?
[26:07] Andy W: So I’m working on a building a AI app right now,
[26:11] and I have a background in programming light in the sense that I’ve hacked my way through code before.
[26:19] I put stuff together years ago in the early days of the Internet, I wrote very primitive material that made the Internet go using scripting languages. And so now here I am finding myself 20 years later, 30 years later,
[26:33] talking to an AI bot. But, you know, it requires a little bit of technical understanding. While I’m not writing the code directly, when I go to troubleshoot, I run into Jesus is too hard.
[26:44] I get frustrated and my progress gets thwarted. So that’s what I’m dealing with here. And that happens a lot where I don’t have the knowledge I need and I get stuck and I get mad.
[26:55] Kay Z: Okay, okay. And when you get mad, do you walk away or do you just push in harder? What’s your. What’s your response?
[27:02] Andy W: I push in harder first, and then if I still come up against barriers, then I get really mad and I walk away and I steam for a bit and I try to figure out the alternative.
[27:11] And sometimes,
[27:12] and often when I’m in this mode, I’ll eventually go screw it and find a different way Forward, but abandon my current tack, as it were.
[27:22] Kay Z: Okay, that’s. That’s just a perfect, perfect example. Okay, so you.
[27:27] I want you to now close your eyes and really put yourself in a comfortable position.
[27:34] Might wiggle around a little bit.
[27:37] Let your spine be tall, but relaxed.
[27:41] And I want you to take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
[27:49] And as you do, let the day begin to melt away.
[27:54] And if any thoughts or sounds come by, that’s fine.
[27:58] Just let them drift past you like clouds and return to your breath and take another slow breath.
[28:09] This time. Imagine. Imagine breathing in warm, golden light.
[28:14] And as you exhale,
[28:16] feel your jaw soften,
[28:18] your shoulders drop.
[28:20] Your mind grow quieter.
[28:24] And as you breathe in, that light flows down your neck, across your shoulders,
[28:29] down your arms and into your hands.
[28:34] And you breathe out any negative negativity,
[28:36] any tension.
[28:39] And then you breathe in the light again. It moves through your chest, your belly,
[28:43] your legs,
[28:44] all the way to your feet.
[28:48] Your whole body is now wrapped in golden light.
[28:53] This light is peace.
[28:55] This light is safety.
[28:58] You are now fully relaxed and ready to act. Activates.
[29:04] And from within this golden glow that’s in front of you and all around you,
[29:11] you see a figure begin to emerge.
[29:15] It’s your higher self,
[29:18] the purest version of you,
[29:20] holding the wisdom of the ages.
[29:23] The universal intelligence that links all beings,
[29:28] even to your guides, your angels, your messengers,
[29:32] whoever and whatever that might be for you,
[29:36] living or deceased.
[29:39] They arrive carrying everything you need for this journey.
[29:45] Feel their presence,
[29:47] the presence of your higher self wrap around you like a warm blanket of light.
[29:54] They smile,
[29:55] and you instantly know you are safe and you are guided.
[30:01] Your higher self gestures to a staircase ahead.
[30:06] Each step down takes you deeper into calm,
[30:10] deeper into the truth of your soul.
[30:12] We’ll count down together now.
[30:15] 10.
[30:16] You’re stepping down.
[30:18] 9. 8.
[30:21] Your body is loose and heavy at the same time.
[30:27] Take a deep breath in and out.
[30:32] 7. 6. 5.
[30:37] Your mind is still.
[30:41] 4. 3. 2. 1.
[30:47] Arriving at the bottom with your higher self at your side.
[30:52] Before you is a peaceful room. Quiet,
[30:56] protected,
[30:57] sacred.
[30:58] In the center is a large, glowing movie screen.
[31:05] Your Higher self invites you to sit beside them and asks you to bring to mind a blockage,
[31:14] something that is stuck,
[31:17] a pattern that keeps repeating.
[31:22] Or maybe some success that’s evaded you.
[31:28] The one, maybe that you identified just a little earlier.
[31:34] It’s probably something that feels like it has. Has a grip on you.
[31:39] And if nothing specific comes to mind, that’s perfect.
[31:43] Your higher self already knows your soul. Never forgets and with a simple loving gesture,
[31:54] your higher self changes the screen.
[31:59] So up on the screen now is a new picture revealing the moment in your life where an energetic imprint first began,
[32:12] whether in your mind,
[32:14] your body,
[32:15] or your spirit.
[32:19] Now, you might not be able to see the whole scene play out in front of you on the screen. That’s fine.
[32:28] You might instead feel it or just know it,
[32:33] or maybe you hear it.
[32:37] Either way is fine. Whatever you’re experiencing at this moment is perfect.
[32:44] So whatever’s up on that screen that you see, sense, or feel is the exact moment when the energetic imprint first began.
[32:54] That lay the path for the pattern that keeps repeating.
[32:59] That lay the path for whatever energy is stuck that’s stopping you from achieving your fullest success in whatever endeavor.
[33:11] You don’t need to step into this moment.
[33:15] Simply witness it from the safe space beside your higher self.
[33:21] See it as if through a gentle, protective veil,
[33:26] just enough to understand without reliving.
[33:31] I’m going to pause for a moment so you can witness and observe the scene that initiated what’s been blocked?
[33:40] What’s been stuck in your mind,
[33:44] body or spirit.
[33:49] Just ask yourself, how old were you?
[33:53] Where were you?
[33:55] Who was there?
[33:58] What was happening?
[34:00] I’m going to pause so you can witness and observe the scene exactly as it happened.
[34:10] Andy W: Sa.
[34:38] Kay Z: Again, how old were you?
[34:40] Where was the scene happening?
[34:43] Who else was there?
[34:52] Now with your higher self,
[34:55] you step into the scene not to relive it,
[34:58] but to create a new, energetic trim.
[35:02] You actually step through the video screen into the scene,
[35:07] and together you place a shimmering shield between your younger self and whatever is unfolding so your younger self can no longer absorbed that energy that’s become blocked.
[35:22] The action freezes.
[35:25] Time stands still.
[35:27] You and your higher self wrap the whole situation that’s unfolding in white light,
[35:33] including anyone who is there initiating this experience.
[35:38] This action is taken not to excuse or condone,
[35:42] but to transmute the essence of what happens into the highest energy of love so it can never bind you again.
[35:53] You watch as the white light moves like a river,
[35:56] carrying everything in its path into the heart of your higher selves,
[36:01] where it is dissolved,
[36:04] transmuted,
[36:06] returned to pure source energy.
[36:22] Now your attention turns to your younger self.
[36:25] They’re there before you.
[36:27] Maybe they’re hurt, maybe frightened.
[36:31] You take your younger self into your arm and hold them and thank them for their courage and carrying this weight for as long as they did.
[36:45] Let them know they’ll soon be free.
[36:55] Your higher self steps forward now and shows you with an energetic X ray vision exactly where this blockage has been living in your younger selves, your mind, body or spirit.
[37:11] And this energetic X ray vision gives you access to seeing where the energetic imprint left its mark.
[37:22] So where is that blocked energy located?
[37:30] What color is it?
[37:35] What is its texture or form?
[37:43] Simply see it for what it is.
[37:48] Because anytime you’re in a situation where you’re in interaction with someone,
[37:54] there is always a transmission of energy.
[37:58] And sometimes that energy isn’t equal.
[38:02] Sometimes. Sometimes you’re giving more, sometimes you’re taking more.
[38:06] And sometimes the energy of a particular situation or interaction travels to you with great force and gets imprinted.
[38:19] That’s the energy I’m talking about.
[38:22] This situation that’s in front of you now that you just stepped into.
[38:28] That was the moment your energy got blocked.
[38:33] And now you’re getting a chance to see it for what it is.
[38:41] And with that, your higher self turns to you.
[38:44] And with the wisdom of the ages, guided by the universal intelligence, by your guides, angels and allies,
[38:52] your higher self taught tells you exactly what to do to release the energetic imprint.
[39:01] Perhaps you see an entire council surrounding you,
[39:05] or perhaps it’s only you and your higher selves.
[39:09] Either way,
[39:11] you are loved,
[39:12] supported and guided.
[39:16] Do now what your higher self instructs you to do to release the blockage.
[39:22] You can ask your higher self,
[39:24] how do I clear this energetic imprint that’s been blocked in my body? How do I clear this blockage?
[39:32] And I’m going to pause for a moment so you can do what your higher self, guided by divine intelligence,
[39:40] is guiding you to do.
[39:45] Andy W: Sam.
[40:15] Kay Z: I want you to feel the blocked energy loosening,
[40:18] lifting,
[40:19] leaving.
[40:21] Feel it release.
[40:26] The space at once filled is now pure,
[40:29] open and light.
[40:33] Now watch as your higher self draws this released energy into their heart and witness it dissolve completely into love.
[40:43] That energy no longer has any hold on you.
[40:48] You’ve just rewritten your history.
[40:50] You’ve just broken ties with your past.
[40:55] The space that blocked energy,
[40:57] that energetic imprint,
[40:59] once filled,
[41:01] is now replenished with your purest essence,
[41:05] the part of you that was hidden away when this blockage took over.
[41:09] You are golden.
[41:11] You are alive.
[41:13] You are vibrant.
[41:16] Feel your pure essence, the essence of your soul filling every cell,
[41:22] sealing the space in golden light so only energy that is loving,
[41:28] safe and aligned with your soul can enter.
[41:33] Feel your wholeness restored.
[41:39] And in your original wholeness, your peak essence,
[41:42] you wave goodbye to your younger self,
[41:46] your higher self, and you step forward into the present moment together.
[41:51] And as you do,
[41:53] your higher self looks at you with the knowing. I am Always here.
[41:58] We are always here.
[42:02] Now, in a moment, your higher self will write a message to you in your journal words. You will keep guidance for your life ahead to stay in alignment with your soul and your wholeness.
[42:15] So when you’re done listening to this podcast,
[42:18] there’s going to be a very strong connection still with you and your higher self. Frankly, there always is,
[42:27] but it’s deepened because of the work we’ve just done.
[42:30] And you’ll have an opportunity to journal any sort of messaging from your higher self, from the universal intelligence,
[42:39] from your guides, your angels, whatever you believe in, whatever is there to be given to you through your handwriting.
[42:47] And as I count forward from one to three,
[42:50] you’re going to come forward in time.
[42:53] One,
[42:55] two,
[42:57] three.
[43:00] Take a deep breath in and out.
[43:06] And you’re back in the present moment.
[43:09] And when you’re ready,
[43:10] open your eyes.
[43:17] Andy W: That was really good.
[43:18] I like that. I went really deep.
[43:22] Yeah.
[43:23] I’m like, doo, doo, doo. Hello, hello, small child who is being, resisting the.
[43:29] Doing something wrong and not asking for help.
[43:31] Kay Z: So, uh huh huh.
[43:34] Yeah. And may I ask you what happened?
[43:37] Um, you know, what did you see in terms of the blockage or that energetic imprint?
[43:42] And what did your higher self tell you to do with it?
[43:46] Andy W: So it said. So it was a mask. Oh, it felt like a mask on my jaw. It was holding me, clenching my mouth closed and being afraid to ask for help for fear that there was going to be some sort of weird compensation where the payment I would have to make to solve the problem would be more than I was willing to pay.
[44:06] Right. And it was really centered around something bad that happened when I was a teenager and I got myself into a bit of a pickle where money went, disappeared and I couldn’t resolve it.
[44:17] So anyway, so the higher self said, no, you just need to ask for help. Everybody wants to help you. Stop thinking that somehow you have, there’ll be a debt to pay that people only want to contribute to you.
[44:28] And so it said, ask,
[44:30] ask and be free to ask.
[44:33] Kay Z: So,
[44:34] and how did you, how did you release that? What did your higher self say to, to release the.
[44:39] That energetic imprint or that, that mass that was on your jaw?
[44:43] Andy W: I, it just, it presented me with, you know, the, you know, in the Silence of the Lambs, when the bad guy wears that sort of face mask.
[44:50] Kay Z: With a. Oh, yes, yes.
[44:52] Andy W: So it presented Hannibal.
[44:53] Kay Z: Hannibal.
[44:54] Andy W: Yeah, the Hannibal Hannibal lecture face mask. Right. They’re keeping him,
[44:59] you know,
[45:00] contained. And it told me to take the energetic version of what was on my face off to be released. So I’d be free to, to speak and to ask, right?
[45:09] Yeah.
[45:10] So that was really good,
[45:12] great bizarre imagery. But you know, hey, what the heck.
[45:17] Kay Z: Yeah,
[45:17] it often is bizarre. And one thing I just want to say for the listeners, Andy, and this is really important,
[45:24] you had a very, very vivid experience.
[45:27] And sometimes with some of, you know, my participants in my courses or my clients,
[45:33] they are having almost no experience for them. They’re like,
[45:39] okay, well I didn’t, I didn’t get what Andy got. I, I didn’t see anything. I felt like it wasn’t working on me. And there’s two things I want to say about that.
[45:47] Number one, this works in so many different levels.
[45:52] And some of us have over the years shoved down any sort of our intuitive ability, any sort of our connection to our higher self just because of,
[46:05] you know, like you mentioned earlier about this woo factor that it’s kind of maybe frowned down upon or there’s a certain societal image of what, you know,
[46:17] what you’re supposed to believe or not believe.
[46:20] And this takes practice.
[46:22] And this is where my, my performance coaching hat goes on and my athlete hat goes on. Without the practice,
[46:30] you’re never going to be able to perform at your ultimate level. And some of us just need to practice more because,
[46:35] you know, you’re our muscles just weaker in that sense.
[46:39] So either you just hear things or you feel things, or you see things differently.
[46:46] You just gotta have some patience or just that practice. As you practice more and more, it’ll come easier to you. And regardless, this is happening at such a deep level.
[46:55] Even if you didn’t see what Andy saw, I promise you there’s still things unlocking, unblocking,
[47:02] even if it kind of feels like nothing happens.
[47:06] Andy W: Yeah, yeah. And I’m a testament to that because,
[47:08] you know, I, I have this, I’ve developed this ability to have this sort of highly visual imagination,
[47:15] that part of me that sort of plays these movies out when we do these exercises.
[47:19] But that’s cannot come instantly. For me, it’s taken some time, you know, in this exploration of learning to meditate, learning to quiet my mind, learning to do a little. This is sort of very hypnotic in many ways, these activations.
[47:32] Right. And I’ve done some hypnosis before,
[47:35] so I’m comfortable with it. And one of the things about succeeding and doing these techniques that are cause results is to become comfortable. Because if you resist them, then they’re going to be hard.
[47:45] The results will be more difficult to come by is my experience.
[47:51] So for the Listeners out there that go, hmm, don’t know if that worked. Stick with it. Right? Stick with it. The more you do these kinds of practices, the more results you’re going to get.
[48:00] And I think you’re right. K the Even if you don’t think you got much, you did because you just spent the last 10, 15 minutes reprogramming and hearing messages that will have your brain.
[48:13] We talked about neuroplasticity, plasticity, have your brain realign itself in the direction you want it to go. And you may need to do that exercise a few times. Would you recommend that you would like people grab it and do it again several times, 10 times, 20 times, like every day?
[48:28] Kay Z: Yes, for sure. The more you do it, first of all,
[48:32] um, we’re complicated beings.
[48:34] And while that was one thing that you saw, Andy, if something that you happened when you’re younger and it might resolve the whole issue you’re dealing with,
[48:42] chances are there’s other energetic imprints over the course of your life.
[48:47] And so anytime you feel stuck, anytime you feel blocked, anytime you feel like you need a push through some sort of barrier, I would definitely, and I do, personally,
[48:57] I have my clients, my participants, come back to this sort of an activation.
[49:03] Because every time you do, you get the opportunity to clear something, to set yourself free in that particular space and to release that energetic imprint, which can only be beneficial,
[49:17] of course.
[49:18] Andy W: Yeah, yeah, totally makes sense. All right, well, with that, thank you, kz, for a wonderful. Oh, we bit. Got a bit more. Is there more?
[49:27] Kay Z: Very last thing. Okay. Okay. I mentioned journaling, and I just want to set. Before we go, I just want to set up your listeners for what that looks like. So I call it guided journaling.
[49:39] And that’s because you were just guided by your. Your higher self. And what all you’re going to do is when we’re done here, is you’re going to put pen to paper and you’re going to let your higher self speak to you through your pen.
[49:51] Now,
[49:52] I know how this is going to go for most of you.
[49:55] You’re going to have some sort of thought like, this is stupid, or this is weird, or,
[49:59] okay, how do I know if this is really my higher self?
[50:02] I invite you just to let that float by like a cloud, like I said, in this activation,
[50:08] and do your best not to judge, to evaluate what you’re writing, what you’re doing,
[50:14] and let it just flow. And in the end,
[50:16] read it.
[50:17] What most often happens is you get some wisdom that seems like it’s outside of you. Although it’s your higher self, which is, you know, embodiment of you that really sets you up for what’s next.
[50:33] So please don’t skip that part. It’s such an important aspect of this process.
[50:38] Andy W: Yeah, and just to remind people, if you go back to episode three with Sean Martin, he does a version of that where he, you know, he shows you how to automatic write.
[50:47] And what you’re asking them to do is not too different. It’s just to quiet the mind and see what comes.
[50:52] Right. And you’re right. There is some incredible information that comes or some real honesty. Sometimes you know the answer and your higher self goes, no,
[51:02] I told you. Right. And then they’ll push in your face,
[51:06] they’ll put the poo and push the poo in your nose as it were.
[51:11] Kay Z: That’s quite an image, Andy.
[51:13] Andy W: Speaking of visualization.
[51:15] Anyway. Yeah, yeah, very good. Okay, so don’t forget to journal because that’s where you’re going to get lots of answers.
[51:20] Goodness me, I am probably going to get spanked by my higher self when I write my,
[51:24] when I do the journal.
[51:26] Come on, Andy, don’t be a jerk.
[51:29] But sometimes it’s brutally honest and that’s kind of fun too because it tells you the truth.
[51:34] So anything else to add before we roll out of here?
[51:39] Kay Z: I think that’s it now Andy, you can, you can wrap up the session now. I won’t keep talking. Do your stuff.
[51:46] Andy W: All right, all right. Well tell us how we can connect with you in your courses because people after they do that and know that that’s in a lot of your courses and lots more of it,
[51:58] tell us how we can get hold of you and how we can find out more about what you offer.
[52:03] Kay Z: Yeah,
[52:03] everything’s on my website. It’s the peakawakening.com and also I, I, I believe, Andy, you’re going to have a link to a quiz. It’s, it’s, it’s really neat it, a quiz to, to, to find out your archetype as a performer.
[52:19] And it’s very soul aligned. So you can see, okay, based on the, kind of like on my archetype,
[52:27] what sort of actions do I need to take? What, what’s blocking me?
[52:31] Uh, and it’s, it’s a powerful entryway into the sort of work that I do. And that’s just, it’s a free quiz, kind of fun, really insightful.
[52:39] So that’ll also be available as well as any of the courses and my coaching of people. Any sort of soul work I do with People. All of that is outlined on the website thepeakawakening.com.
[52:52] yeah, that’s accurate.
[52:54] Andy W: Well, we’ll put that in the show notes. So we’ll put a note also to the quiz. It sounds really, really helpful.
[53:00] So you can zip on over, guys, to woo biz.net look up. This is episode five, six, I think six. So, but it’s with KZ so you’ll find it relatively easily.
[53:11] And go check out her courses and her mentoring and all the amazing soulful offerings that she has. It’s. I’ve done two of K’s courses and I gotta tell you, mind blowing.
[53:22] Very helpful. One of these, this, this specific project came out of one of them.
[53:26] Woo Biz was a,
[53:28] a baby birthed of what was the first course called.
[53:32] Kay Z: The mentally and soulfully grounded experience.
[53:35] Andy W: There you go.
[53:36] Kay Z: So there you go.
[53:37] Andy W: Good place to start.
[53:38] Okay. And in a few minutes we’re going to wrap this show up. But don’t forget, we’re zipping into the members only segment with KZ and she’s going to take us through a deep of dive of the exercise she just shared with us where we’re going to look at recreating the future.
[53:52] So that’s coming up shortly.
[53:54] All right, well, that’s it for us this week on path of kz. I’m Andy Walker and this is Woo Biz.
Don’t forget, stay in the woo.
