Ep 1: Introducing WooBiz with Andy Walker
[00:01] Andy Walker: How do you bring extrasensory skills into your business? That’s the question at the heart of woobiz, the podcast where you’ll learn to develop your intuitive edge, to lead, innovate and grow through Woo powered strategy. And it all starts now. Hello and welcome to the very first episode of Woo Biz. Joining me today to walk you through what this podcast is all about, why we created it and what you can expect. And actually where we’re headed is Kay. She’s our producer and the co creator of this show. So I want to say hi, Kay.
[00:43] Kay Walker: Hi, Andy. Hi everyone. And thank you so much for tuning in today.
[00:49] Andy Walker: Yeah, we’re really thrilled that you’re here. It takes a lot of sort of trust to jump into a brand new podcast. So it’s just, we’re just delighted that you’re actually even here to listen to us. Otherwise it’d be kind of ridiculous for us to sit here and talking to a microphone all by ourselves. As you listen to this podcast, you’re going to be hearing not only from me, but from Kay too. She’s going to be sharing Woo tactics as part of this journey. So every now and then she’s going to pop in. In fact, she’s going to do her own episode coming up in a, in a few weeks. But in the meantime, we wanted to share together kind of where we came from with the show, how we created, what we’re going to do with it and that sort of thing, because it is a business podcast. But it’s not just business as usual, Right? That’s what we say around here. We explore what happens when you add something that’s often missing from everyday business, from the business conversation. And I’m talking about, I’ve kind of coined this term, woo tactics. Right? The things that you can do with the woo to make your business life better and kind of give you an edge so you can get ahead of the competition and have a better experience when you go to work every day. And the show’s not gonna just train you about business. I mean, you can use all these things in your everyday life too. You know, we’re gonna dive into ideas like intuition, manifesting, energy, alignment. That’s right, Kay.
[02:10] Kay Walker: Even synchronicity and so many other metaphysical tools that most entrepreneurs and business leaders don’t talk about. But the things that. They probably should. Right?
[02:20] Andy Walker: They probably should. Yeah. Because here’s the thing is, I mean, we all, some of people are like, I don’t know about intuition, do in any of that. Everyone wants to kind of Be bricks and mortar here and now, living in the science and the technology of the time. But the reality is when you enhance your humanity using some of these things that have been around thousands of years, it’s going to help your every day. We’re even going to explore things like channeling for business. Now that’s sort of a bit of a taboo topic like, well, who would channel for your business? You’re getting guidance from non ordinary sources, but it can really shift your trajectory. There’s an exercise in that episode that shows you how to get information very clearly with almost no effort. And it’s surprisingly effective. Where it comes from? Not quite sure, but that’s in a couple of weeks. You’ll also hear from a spiritual business coach who teaches us how to tune our frequency for better performance, better growth, and to be more fulfilled at work. She’s just amazing. The stuff that she gives us is really cool. That’s going to be in about episode four or five, I think. And yeah, there’s even an episode about a technique we called this is a K thing, moose manifesting. And you heard that, right? Moose, you know, like the big animal with the gamblers. So Kay and I are both Canadian and it’s actually her technique and we actually did manifest a moose. That story’s coming up in a few weeks and trust me, it’s worth the wait. So you can see this is where things get fun and yeah, okay, a little weird, but it’s good weird. It’s wild but grounded all at once. Each week we’re going to talk with intuitive business leaders, spiritual practitioners, and eventually maybe even people like you, listeners who’ve had their own intuitive experiences and breakthroughs. I really want to hear those kinds of stories because it becomes real. Then it’s not just people who are preaching how to do this want to hear real life things that come from our audience too. But we’re starting with the experts because the goal is to build a toolkit. One that gives entrepreneurs and business leaders an edge. And not just professionally, but personally too. Because here’s the thing, these tools aren’t just for business. You can use them to build a company, share, but also strengthen your relationships. Navigate some of the uncertainty in this world. Right. There’s been a lot of that lately. Find kind of calm and bliss and trust yourself much more deeply. That’s what this is really all about. We’re talking about the stuff that doesn’t show up in charts or KPI dashboards or Monday morning meetings. And this isn’t just theory. Every episode includes a short and simple exercise from our practitioners that you can try yourself right away in your seat as you listen to this, or you can try it the next day. Something that’s actionable. And it actually starts with this episode too. Today I’m going to take you through an exercise called the Quiet Question. And it only takes 10 minutes. But before we dive in, I want to give you a bit of a backstory. Kay and I are going to give you a bit of a history as to how we got here, some context on why Woo Biz had to happen and why it’s more than just a podcast for us. Let’s start with Kay. She’s not only a brilliant content strategist, she’s also my wife. Yeah, I married her. She’s awesome. And she’s a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today best selling ghostwriter. And she’s worked with some of the biggest names in personal growth and self development. You know, people like Vishen Lakhiani of Mindvalley. It was his co writer and editor on his book. It was the second book, I think it was the Buddha and the badass back in 2019. And she also co wrote two books with Naveen Jain. Now if you recognize that name, he’s the billionaire founder of Viome and a company called Moon Express which was the first private company granted US Government permission to land on the moon. Super cool guy. And beyond writing, Kay directed a high level mastermind group for millionaires, people mentored by Vishen and Naveen and Dave Asprey, the father of biohacking. But here’s the thing. Kay didn’t start in writing. She started as a coach. She trained with and worked with alongside people like Keith Farazi, who coaches Fortune 500 leadership teams. In fact, coaching is how we met. Kay and I met inside a leadership development program where we were both coaches and participants. And from the beginning, our relationship has been rooted in growth, business growth, yeah sure, personal growth and spiritual growth. It’s kind of our thing. We’re kind of those kinds of people. In 2016, we wrote a book together called Super U about how technology is amplifying human potential. In it, we explored everything from wearable tech and brainwave training to gene editing, body hacking, and even like neural implants, which back then was kind of science fiction. And today of course there’s companies that are actually doing that. Basically how regular people were becoming early stage superhumans. That book came after I had written a handful of tech books myself. Mostly, you know, Windows guides, you know, sort of the Dummies type stuff from the early days of the Internet. And one of my favorites was a book that was called you call this the Future? Which I co wrote with Nick Sagan. And yes, that’s Carl Sagan’s son. For about a decade, I was best known as a tech analyst and media personality. I co host a show called Call for help on tech TV, later G4 tech TV with Leo Laporte and Amber Mack. And on that show, I explain how technology worked by doing what I called food demos. One time I carved cheese into logic gates and poured tomato sauce through the thing to explain how computers process binary data. Right? People found those segments incredibly hilarious. And I love that when you laugh, you kind of forget that you’re learning. That whole media career came out of my background in journalism. I started, you know, in crime and general assignment reporting at newspapers. And then later on I helped launch canada.com that’s Canada’s first national online news portal. And I became known as CyberWalker, one of Canada’s first syndicated tech columnists. That column led to books, the show, the Whole Shebang. And I also received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal for founding a thing called Little Geeks. It was a nonprofit that gave computers to kids in need. Now, as a tech guy and a journalist, I’ve always been a natural skeptic. I mean, it’s kind of built into the career, right? You’re trained not to believe everything you hear. But I’ve also kind of been a little curious. I’d hear about these so called woo topics. Intuition, energy work, consciousness tools, that sort of thing. And I started to explore them. You know, it was quiet, right? Never told very many people about it, never talked about it in polite company, as it were. Usually late at night, I’d listen to podcasts like, you know, Jim Harold’s Campfire. I don’t know if you know Simon Baun, he’s out of the uk. He does a show called my Paranormal Afterlife about what happens after you die. And eventually I started testing some of what I was learning and honestly started to see that it kind of worked. Not in a flashy look at me, I can manifest a mansion kind of thing, but in a subtle, effective and useful way. It made things flow, it opened doors, it let me make the right decisions in some of my business pursuits. It changed how I made some of my decisions. And as Kay and I kept learning and evolving, we started to notice something. Some of the most valuable tools, the ones that truly create breakthroughs, are the ones that no one is teaching the intuitive stuff, like the energy alignment stuff, the invisible edge, it’s kind of invisible. I like to keep it invisible anyway, until now. But these are the things that some of the most successful people quietly use to get ahead. Right, Kay?
[10:27] Kay Walker: Yeah, Andy, you’re so right. And you know, it’s interesting to be a ghostwriter and even the work that I do in content or as a coach, and you can relate to this, you’re behind the scenes and you start to see these patterns and you start to connect these dots. You even see what’s, you’re. You’re learning from actions that people aren’t taking as well. I’ve worked with so many leaders who share all these odd techniques that give them an edge, maybe with me or who don’t even really know what they’re doing. But I started to see that some of them were using their intuition or manifesting. You know, I would sit with like billionaires, millionaires, business owners, and they would use different words to describe something like using their intuition. One said he took long showers because that was when he was quiet. And then he would start listening to his gut instinct there and he would make the best decisions from the shower. Well, that’s his intuition. Another one got up and meditated every morning to connect to the divine intelligence. Well, that’s that person’s intuition. It’s all the same thing. And the more that I watch and notice what others maybe never get to see or maybe don’t even see about themselves, the more I’ve seen and learned and gone deeper into these woo skills and you know, I’m always learning and, and guinea pigging everything and you become a seeker and suddenly you have deeper experiences and then that only fortifies your belief in skills like these clairvoyant powers and all the things that we’re going to talk about here. It’s interesting because you’ve always been into it as kind of a hobby at first and, and you know, maybe share a little bit about that.
[12:18] Andy Walker: It’s funny you say it’s kind of a hobby. I don’t really think of it as a traditional hobby. It’s not like collecting stamps, but it, it’s certainly a pastime. And I’ve kind of always been into the woo and you know, for me it was, did I have a past life? You know, can I experiment with being a medium? I don’t know, like, I wasn’t born a medium, not psychic. I don’t have crazy psychic powers. But I love hearing stories about that. I love the idea of maybe I could Maybe develop some sort of psychic power. And then, you know, there’s the edge of the wedge, aliens and Bigfoot. That’s weird stuff. Doesn’t really, it’s not that practical. But just the mystery of it is really exciting for me. You know, when I was a kid, I’m in my 50s now, so this was the 70s. I remember learning about the Bermuda Triangle. You know, there was a book that I bought out of, I think it was a bake sale and brought it home and I think I read it cover to cover and I think I read it three times. Just, you know, just the idea of something weird and strange outside of the normal happening was so much cooler than my everyday boring life, you know. And I had some experiences, some encounters with, dare I say it, spirits on and off for many years. Certainly when it was, I think it was in my 30s or so, I started to be able to see auras, color around people. And that meant something about their emotional states. Didn’t really know if it was legit, but I explored it and it was really cool when I would think would see something and go, I don’t think you’re very happy right now. And sure enough, they reveal that they were having a really bad day. And that didn’t come from noticing what they were saying. It was just a feeling and an impression of a color around them. But Kay, you’ve been married to me for more than a decade now. Did you see a big change when we went to Sedona? Because we went to Sedona together. We have a friend or some friends.
[14:22] Kay Walker: Yeah, we have some friends who run a company called Sedona Soul Adventures. And we had a beautiful opportunity to go there. And this is where you can do individual custom retreats. A coach sits with you on their team and says, you know, what kind of breakthrough do you want? And they create this beautiful journey where you get in your car and you go from one practitioner to the next and you get to explore different dimensions and aspects of yourself. And so Andy and I both went there and did that. We actually brought my mom too and we went on these journeys. And that is where I would say, Andy kind of, I would say you popped open a little bit more because for so many years you had this kind of closeted ability where you could see these colors around people, which is auras. And you didn’t really know anything and you wouldn’t tell anybody I knew cuz I was your wife. But it wasn’t until we went to Sedona that you actually sat with a practitioner and did a test and she said, wow, you need to develop this. And she said, you are very clairvoyant and more than most people, and if you don’t develop this, it’s a disservice to humanity. So imagine Andy clearly not expecting that and then going and having that moment and then, you know, me coming home after my journey. I’m seeing him sitting at the kitchen table and he’s going, that was a bonkers day. Let me tell you what happened.
[15:49] Andy Walker: Did you see some sort of change in me, like, in that moment, like. Cause I guess I was finally coming out or I finally got validated Right. In that trip.
[15:57] Kay Walker: So, yeah, you had a validation that some of these things, these topics he had been exploring were really, were real. And I think a similar experience happened for me as well. And so then we came back and we said, we have to get this Woo Biz podcast started, because it had been an idea that had been sitting there for maybe a year and had not been activated. And then we knew, you know, it’s just the right time for this.
[16:27] Andy Walker: Yeah. Actually, even. Yes. Was it yesterday or the day before? Right. I’m gonna tell them the bike story. Okay. So, yeah, we had a. We have a neighbor that we adore, and it was a couple. And I had been watching on Netflix some stuff about the Tour de France and the bike races. And I’ve been working on getting, you know, improving my health and that sort of thing. So I thought, oh, I should get a bike. And so we went to see her after her husband passed. His name was Dan. And he. She said to me, would you like Dan’s bike? And I’m like, oh, wow. Like, so it’s kind of weird because I had been thinking about a bike and I was excited about maybe jumping in and starting to use it as part of my exercise regime. And so she gives me this brand new bike. I asked her if she wanted, if I could pay for it, and she’s like, no, no, no, no, just take it. Right. He, he, he bought it last year, he used it a few times. It’s yours. So I’m literally out the other day on my first ride on this bike. And we live in a kind of a rural area just outside of the Toronto, Canada. And I’m going along this street, you know, along past these soybean fields, and I’m thinking about this guy Dan. I’m thinking how lucky I am. It’s a beautiful day. I’m getting to be on this bike and. And this car goes by me And I look at the license plate and it said Dan on it. In fact, it said Dan 3:7, Dan’s 370. So I don’t know who that guy was or whatever, but it was just at the moment I was thinking about him on this new bike that I somehow had manifested. Dan was giving me a message like, hey buddy, hope you’re enjoying my bike. And that’s a silly personal example, but similar.
[18:17] Kay Walker: It’s been happening more so since we came back from Sedona. And you’ve really been practicing and you’ve been in groups where you’re training your intuition, you’re working on your manifestation skills. And now these synchronicities are happening and that’s what we’re talking about. You know, there’s so many successful people that are actually using these kind of techniques and either are consciously using them or maybe not consciously. You know, I. It works in personal life, but also in business. You know, I was recently saying that, okay, I’m ready to step away from ghost writing and I’m ready for my next chapter. And I needed, I still needed some work and ghostwriting is my top skill, but I didn’t want to write a full book. And so I was kind of manifesting and putting out, you know, I. These, these messages of I don’t want to write a full book, I do need money coming in, I do want to work on something cool and exciting. And then out of the blue, I got a message from a very well known author who is publishing a book with a big publisher and needs help to get this book out in two months, which was perfect for me. It was the exact thing I need. So. So these are the kind of skills that we’re talking about. And these are just small examples, right, Andy?
[19:38] Andy Walker: Yeah, they’re small examples, but you’ll see as you develop these kinds of skills and you use some of these tools, they become very powerful and they seem to like, for me, they’ve amplified. So I just. We just wanted to bring this to you. Right? It’s our mission to bring. Yeah, we’re gonna bring science and skepticism because we’re both skeptics. I think maybe K less so than me, but still, we’re going to bring a bit of a skeptical edge to this. Right? It’s not going to be all beads and Kumbaya. Right. But we want to know the truth and we want to know that they work and we want to give you practical tactics in every episode. Right?
[20:16] Kay Walker: Yeah. And Andy, the last thing we should also mention that I think is important is that this is more about giving us an edge in business and in life. It’s more than a fun hobby. These skills are so important and they can lead to so much fulfillment and they can set you on a path where you just feel like you’re really controlling your reality. And we are right now at a time where we’re moving into this era where, you know, tech has, is continuing to accelerate. It always has accelerated, but now it’s even more so. And it. And things are coming fast. And it’s those, especially in business, who have these types of skills that are beyond the normal skills we might train to. They’re going to be the ones who succeed. You know, they’ll be the ones with resilience, they’ll be able to adapt. They will also be the most creative thinkers and innovators. And isn’t that what we all want?
[21:18] Andy Walker: Yeah. The thing I want to throw in before we’re going to go to a quiet question, which is an exercise that I want to train you guys in. I told you we were going to do exercises in these shows. And then we’ve got one for you here. But before we go, there’s one other thought that Kay and I have been talking about lately. With all these AI tools starting to encroach on some of the, you know, the, the common jobs people have, especially for writers, for example. But anybody who’s creative, anybody who creates things, right, it’s, it’s going to take some fundamental work away from humans. But I think, and I had this conversation with somebody the other day, that we need to upskill. In an era of AI, we need to upskill, we need to be more human. We need to build on the things that make us the most human. And that includes building our intuition and using all of these things that enhances us as humans as useful, creative, amazing innovation beasts in the world. Right? So if you have been thinking about AI, this might be a way forward for you too, because if you have great intuition, you know, AI is never going to have great intuition. It’s a rule follower. It’s great at processing massive amounts of information. But it’s going to be a long time before it’s very creative, before it’s intuitive and that sort of thing. So it’s one of those things that will give you the ultimate edge in business, I think. Anyway, on that note, let’s get in to a really cool, intuitive process. Over the next 10 minutes, I’m going to walk you through a simple exercise that you can do right now. It’s called the quiet question. Don’t worry, even if you think you’re about as psychic as a cardboard box, just trust me on this. Okay? So first step one simple. Find a quiet space. Space. Sit somewhere comfortable. Turn off your phone, close your laptop. No music, no distractions. Make sure the dog is fed or outside or you know, the cats aren’t going to lick your ear. You know, that kind of thing. Get some personal space, right? Favorite couch, whatever it is, make sure there’s nobody around. Okay, step one, find your space. Step two, breathe and settle. So all you have to do here, close your eyes, take three deep breaths. Ready? In through the nose, now through the mouth. Do that three or four times until you feel start to feel your body settle and let the noise of the day drop away. Okay, step three. You can ask a question here in your mind or you can do it aloud. Ask an open ended question. So you could ask something like what should I focus on this week? What opportunity is trying to find me? What do I need to know right now? Open ended question. Pick it. Doesn’t matter what it is. Don’t ask about for lottery ticket results because you probably won’t get it, but maybe you will. I don’t know. But just an open ended question. Okay, now here’s the important part. I want you to listen, right? So continue to sit quietly and don’t try to force anything. Just. Just pay attention to a. Pay attention to what comes back in your head. You want to notice if there is something comes up. A word or a phrase floats into your mind. Maybe be like for me, you see a sudden image. That’s my clairvoyance. Some people hear a word, some people get a feeling. Some people see something in their mind’s eye. Some people feel something or feel an emotion. You might get it through a body sensation, might feel a warmth, might feel a tightness, might feel a pull of some sort of. And when it comes, don’t judge it. Don’t go, oh, that wasn’t it. You see grapes. Just be okay with seeing grapes. Just notice it and then all you have to do next, you know, after being with it and listening. When you’re done and you’ve got a message or some messages or something, give it about five minutes, then open your eyes and I want you to write down whatever came up. Even if it seemed random or silly or a fragment doesn’t make any sense, right? Maybe it doesn’t. Maybe it does. It won’t always click immediately, but don’t dismiss a small detail. Then put that book Aside, make sure you do write it down, put it aside. Or you can even write it on your phone. If you want to fire up your phone, that’s fine. You know, you’ve done the exercise and a little while later come back to your notes, you know, maybe that evening or the next morning, and, and read what you wrote and reflect on what you wrote. Often the connections make more sense. In hindsight, in the moment, maybe not. I. I did this exercise one time and I saw train tracks going off into the distance. I actually saw a triangle with slats across it, which kind of looked like when I sort of started to dwell on. Looked like, you know, when you, when you’re on a train track and you watch it go off into the distance, it seems like a triangle as it fades towards the horizon. And I got some feedback from somebody else, and they said, oh, you’re just on a journey. You’re starting a new journey. And sure enough, I had, I just started a new project that week, and I had the confidence to proceed. Right. So that was just kind of a message for myself, go. Okay. I think I asked myself, should I proceed with that project? I think that was the question I had asked or had been, because I’d been out walking with the dog and, and that’s what came to me as I came through the door. So, interestingly enough, right. So sometimes you can check with somebody else, you can ask somebody else what they think it means, but it’ll probably come to you. It probably means something to you one, once you roll it through your head. So just a quick reminder, though, intuition whispers first, and then the more you listen to it, the more you allow it, the less you resist it, the less you try to force it. Something’s going to come and your intuition will get louder and it’ll get clearer. Okay, so that’s the exercise. Normally at this point in the show, I’d sign off, but today, and from now on, this is where the free version of the episode ends. But for Woo Biz plus members, we’re just getting started. Each week, I’m going to invite our guest practitioner to stay with us a little longer and go deeper. And so they will for a special members only segment. And in it, we’re going to explore extended insights, advanced variations of the exercises. They’re sharing additional tips and perhaps a few spiritual hacks. Whatever it is that’s going to make your experiences being a Woo Biz listener much, much better. And we’ve already recorded a few of these things. I got to tell you, the content’s pretty great. These bonus conversations will run about 10 to 20 minutes, and they’re designed to give you even more tools for your journey. So if you’d like to access that bonus segment and to support the show’s production with a small monthly subscription fee, just visit our [email protected] that’s W O O B I Z net and click the subscribe button at the top of the homepage. That will take you to the available options. So you can either contribute monthly or you can buy a year subscription or you can be a founding member, which is a few more dollars, but you get a few other perks as well in this first episode. The extended episode is free. I want you to see how it’s going to go, so I’m not stopping here. And it’ll give you the ability to get a feel for the kind of material that you’ll enjoy as a Woo Biz member. So let’s jump into that now. Hey Woo Biz insiders. So welcome to the expanded version of the show. This is a member zoning segment where we’re going to build on the foundation that, you know, you just laid with using the Quiet Question exercise. So let’s dive deeper into how to amplify your intuition and train it like a real skill. Okay? First, think of intuition as a muscle. The more you practice tuning into it, the stronger it gets. So doing the Quiet Question exercise once is great. Hopefully you got some value out of it. But doing it three times a week will build that muscle. It’ll build momentum, it’ll expand your capacity to listen for messages. So couple things. Try doing it the same time each day, morning or night. Doesn’t matter because your brain, your body, your soul, let’s call it, will start to recognize the pattern. And so consistency builds signal clarity. Right? So you do it over and over again. It’s practice, right? If you want to learn how to play soccer, you got to do it a lot. Well, same thing here, right? Just and as you can tell, it was a 10 minute exercise. Won’t take long. It’s basically 30 minutes out of your week. So do it three times. You could do it daily if you want. Like there’s nothing to stop you there. So that’s number one. A couple of the things I would the notebook that you use to write down your impressions hopefully has lots of pages in it and you can just dedicate it to this. And if you don’t go get yourself a journal, go grab a notebook just for this process we call it. Or I’ve Heard it called a symbol journal. Right? So every time you do the exercise, write anything down that shows up. So it could be an image, could be a phrase, could be a weird metaphor. You might have felt something in your body. You might have had an emotion. And over time, you’ll start to recognize repeating patterns. So you might start to see, like if you’re always seeing doors, that may mean opportunity. Or if you see water, maybe that might suggest emotional flow. Or maybe, you know, you see fire. Is that a precognition idea? Not necessarily. It’s could be symbolic. Could mean action, you know, time to take action or urgency on something. So remember, you’ve asked a question. So if you see fire, maybe the answer is, yeah, do it now, right? Or if you see water, you know, I mean, explore it emotionally. Try to get to the bottom of it. Right? Or door, maybe. Anyway, you could see a million different things. I see all kinds of crazy stuff all the time. Sometimes I see birds, Sometimes I see colors. Sometimes. What else do I see? I just get weird stuff sometimes in my head, around. Can’t even make a head or tail list. Sometimes I just start to see a symbol or a shape, and then if I focus on it, it comes into clarity, almost like zooming in or bringing something into focus. So have patience with yourself, right? Have patience and just allow the stuff to come. There’s no rush. And it may take a while, it may take several sessions. But you’ll notice as you do this again and again and again, it will amplify, it will get clearer, and you’ll get a sense of what the symbols mean after you dwell on them. Everyone, I’ve discovered, has their own intuitive language, and you will be no different. So learning yours will help you turn the scattered insights you get into a coherent conversation. So let’s talk body signals. So I want you now to ask yourself a simple yes or no question. And then close your eyes and scan your body, right? So you can ask a question like, should I do that deal or should I call that customer? Should I call that company and see if there’s an opportunity to work together? Yes or no? So when you ask the question, see how you feel. Do you feel like, lightness? Do you feel a pull forward? Do you feel an opening in your brain, in your chest, in your body? Or do you feel tightness? Do you feel like a pullback, a tenseness, heaviness in your gut? You know, we talked earlier on about the fact that your body sometimes know ahead of your brain. So your body knows and it responds faster. Than your conscious brain. So learn to trust that physical response. It’s a huge, huge intuitive amplifier. All right, when’s the best time to tune in? Well, you know, when we’re relaxed is always good. So first thing in the morning when you first get out of bed, right? A little sleepy, a little groggy, still chill. It’s the first time in the morning, the first half an hour after you wake up, right before bed’s a good time too. They call it twice sleep, right? That, that sort of 10, 15, 20 minutes before you fade off into sleep. That’s a good time as well, because your brain is kind of winding down and it’ll be clearer, there’ll be less noise that’ll get in the way. The logic won’t be there anymore. You can also do it after meditating, walking, even do it in the shower. You know when you’re, you’re in the shower in the hot water and you’re like enjoying it, your mind’s wandering. That’s a really good time to ask yourself these questions because your brain goes into a different mode. I think it’s called the default mode network. We’ll have to dig into that a bit more. My wife’s been an expert in on that, so I’ll have to ask her sometime. The default mode network, right, so this is chill time. You’re in flow. You’re not really focusing on a task. You’re not action oriented. You’re just being. It’s a really good time for that. But why are these particular times good? Well, they’re low noise states, right? There’s low noise in your head. Your logical mind isn’t active yet. It’s quietened down or it is in, it’s not revved up yet. And the intuitive voice has space to speak, to come forward. Have you noticed? If you really want to do something, go list. Okay, I’ve got to go get some groceries and I’ve got to pick up, you know, I don’t know, bottle of wine, whatever it is that you, that you like to do, right? It’s like you’re, you’re present and you’re about to do something and your brain’s in gear. Well, that’s not a good time to check your intuition because you’re in task mode. But if you’re in chill mode, if you’re in mellow mode, if you’re, your brain is going to be clear and the whispers of intuition can come forward. Okay? So that’s worth knowing. And then the other thing is, I call this the Second question trick. So after your first intuitive insight, like the yes or no question, ask this question. What else do I need to know? What else do I need to know? Right? So you’ve asked, should I do this project? Yes or no? Yes or no? Yes or no? Oh, yeah, it feels good. Yeah. Okay, I’m gonna do it. And then after that, what else do I need to know? This keeps the door open and it trains your intuitive system to go a little deeper. You’re not just receiving information now. Now you’re starting to interact with that inner voice, that inner knowing, and it builds confidence. Right? And the more you do this, the more you have the experience of letting your intuition come forward and give you the messages you need, the stronger, the more powerful that muscle’s gonna be and your life’s gonna be richer for it. I promise. Okay, a couple more things before we wrap up here. You have felt stuck between two options, you know, so what you can do here is like, okay, so you’re trying to figure out again, like, should I do this deal, right, or should I proceed? Should I call that customer and ask them for the sale? Flip a coin, right? But if you do that, don’t look at the result right away. Instead, pay attention to your reaction to it. Did you want heads? Did you want it to come up heads? Did you want to call the customer? Or do the deal? You’re going to get a sense of, oh, yeah. Or if you’re hoping for tails, like, oh, I just want to call a customer. I really don’t want to. I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to do the deal. I don’t want to do the project. I just don’t think it’s a good idea. Right? That impulse, that internal momentary emotional reaction or gut feel. Remember the gut, right? The gut brain is telling you what to do. And that flash of emotion is your intuition that’s revealing itself. The coin’s just a. A prop, right? Just helps you bypass your overthinking. Yes. No flip, right? Should I? Whatever, flip. Okay. Before I even look at it. Oh, I hope it’s heads. I really want to do this. Or, oh, dreading that I shouldn’t do that. You’re going to know. Then look at the coin. Is it heads or is it tails? Be interested to know. Right. Hey, so thank you for listening to this extended after show segment. Hope it’s really, really helpful and I’d love to hear from you.
