I first met Shawn Martin at Energy Awaken, a metaphysical studio in Hamilton, Ontario, during a small group channeling session he was leading. There were about six of us seated in a circle, each unsure of what to expect—but open to the experience. From the moment Shawn began, the atmosphere shifted. His presence was calm yet commanding, and what followed was unlike anything I had encountered before.
As a Reiki Master, channeler, and author, Shawn brings a deep spiritual awareness to his work. During the session, he entered a meditative state and began to channel messages from his spiritual advisors—beings from the spirit realm he refers to as guides. He moved around the room with gentle focus, delivering insights to each attendee with remarkable precision and compassion. Some people received messages about challenges they were currently facing, while others were offered glimpses into their future paths or received emotional confirmations that left them visibly moved.

About Medium Shawn Martin
Born and raised in southern Ontario, Shawn Martin is a seasoned Reiki Master Teacher and intuitive guide with over 30 years of experience in healing and education. After a long career as an elementary school teacher, Shawn uncovered his metaphysical gifts through spontaneous healing experiences. He discovered he could relieve pain by holding his hands above affected areas of the body—a realization that led him to pursue formal Reiki training.
Shawn is a certified Master Teacher in both Usui and Tibetan Reiki traditions. He now offers Reiki therapy to clients on demand, helping individuals experience deep relaxation, energy alignment, and pain relief. Shawn lives according to the five core principles of Reiki, which continue to deepen his spiritual connection and healing abilities.
Through daily practice, Shawn developed the gift of automatic writing—a process that opened the door to spiritual channelling. Using this method, he authored two profound books:
